Glycon

Region of origin: Macedonia

Foretold as a new physical incarnation of the Greek god Asclepius by the oracle Alexander of Abonutichus, Glycon hatched from a goose egg and rapidly grew into a massive snake with human facial features and long blonde hair. He gained a literal cult following and was worshipped by sects in Greek and Roman societies stretching throughout southern Europe for several centuries as a god of fertility and medicine. Despite his popularity, even at the time it was largely considered to have been a hoax and Glycon a puppet orchestrated by Alexander himself.
