Raijū

Region of origin: Japan

A beast who accompanies Raijin, the Shinto god of storms, the raijū is a physical representation of lightning and thunder, taking on forms similar to cats, weasels, wolves or appearing as ball lightning. Lightning damage is attributed to their claws, and their calls sounds like thunder. They are aggressive towards humans, swooping down the sky to harry or attack them.
