Bannik
Region of origin: Eastern Europe and Russia
In Slavic saunas, a separate chamber may be designated for the dwarven bannik, the spirit of bathhouses, and his compatriots to use. A person using a bathhouse occupied by a bannik may feel a spectral backrub or claws raked across their back if their upcoming fortune is good or ill, respectively.
